In June of 2011, the City of Santa Clarita adopted a new General Plan commonly known as One Valley One Vision (OVOV). The creation of this plan was a joint effort between the County of Los Angeles, the City of Santa Clarita and Valley residents and businesses. The intent was to create a single vision within the County’s and City’s jurisdictions for future growth of the Valley and the preservation of natural resources valley wide. The Planning Area includes the City and its four communities (Canyon Country, Newhall, Saugus and Valencia), the County communities of Stevenson Ranch, Castaic, Val Verde, Agua Dulce, and the future community of Newhall Ranch.
