The City of Santa Clarita (City), in partnership with SCVTV, is excited to announce Santa Clarita Spotlight, a brand-new Shop Local series dedicated to promoting and celebrating the diverse range of local businesses within the City.
Santa Clarita Spotlight aims to encourage residents to support their community by shopping and dining at local establishments. Each episode will highlight some of the many small businesses that contribute to Santa Clarita’s vibrant economy, from hidden gems to local favorites.
Episode 1: “A Day in Old Town Newhall”
The pilot episode of Santa Clarita Spotlight “A Day in Old Town Newhall” invites viewers to spend a day exploring the unique retailers and restaurants in Santa Clarita’s Arts and Entertainment District. Residents can start the day on Lyons Avenue by grabbing a handcrafted chai latte at Honu Coffee, then head down Main Street to check out the artisan offerings at the Maison on Main boutique. For those looking for a night out, enjoy fine food and cocktails at Spruce & Oak and catch a show at the Laemmle theater.
Episode 2: “Breweries”
The second episode of Santa Clarita Spotlight “Breweries” invites viewers to enjoy a drink and grab a bite at Santa Clarita’s local breweries: Lucky Luke Brewing Company, Pocock Brewing Company, and Brewery Draconum. Along with offering their own distinct lines of delicious craft-beers, each brewery hosts a lively atmosphere with regular events, game nights, live music, and more. In this episode, viewers can also enjoy a behind-the-scenes look into the brewing process and a sneak peek at how each establishment concocts their unique flavors and offerings.
Episode 3: “Date Night”
The third episode of Santa Clarita Spotlight “Date Night” invites viewers to discover fun activities and romantic date spots in Santa Clarita – perfect for Valentine’s Day and any other day of the year. This episode features Board & Brush Creative Studio, Piccola Trattoria, The MAIN, and C&A Café and Creamery. Treat your special someone to a lovely night out at one of Santa Clarita’s local businesses!
Episode 4: “Fitness”
The fourth episode of Santa Clarita Spotlight, “Fitness,” invites viewers to try out several fun, physical activities provided by Santa Clarita’s businesses. Head to Top Out Climbing and get a full body workout by scaling their rock-climbing walls. Pick up some weights, jump on a treadmill, or take up a new class at Afterburn Fitness. Get your groove on at New World Dance Studio or practice your swing at Club Golf Valencia. Whether you are a beginner to the world of fitness or an athlete looking for a new challenge, there are so many local options for residents to discover!
