Minimum Wage in the City of Santa Clarita – $16.50 per Hour, Effective January 1, 2025
The City of Santa Clarita abides by the minimum wage set by the State of California. Effective January 1, 2025, the minimum wage in California is $16.50 per hour for all employers. Therefore, effective January 1, 2025, the minimum wage for businesses located within the City of Santa Clarita will be $16.50 per hour. Businesses located in unincorporated areas of the Santa Clarita Valley are under the jurisdiction of Los Angeles County and will need to abide by the County’s minimum wage requirements. As of July 1, 2025, the minimum wage increased to $17.81 per hour for businesses in unincorporated LA County.
