Santa Clarita was ranked among the least costly cities to do business in Los Angeles County, according to a 2024 survey by Kosmont Cos. and the Rose Institute. The survey analyzed taxes, fees, commercial rents, and other costs across 216 cities, primarily in Southern California. Santa Clarita was the only city in the county to land in the lowest cost tier, distinguishing it as a more affordable location for businesses compared to higher-cost areas like Santa Monica, Culver City, and Los Angeles. Only four of the county’s 88 cities – Palmdale, La Habra Heights, City of Industry and La Mirada – placed in the second-to-lowest tier.

The City of Santa Clarita’s ongoing commitment to being business-friendly makes it an ideal destination for companies seeking affordability and growth. With these advantages, Santa Clarita continues to foster a thriving commercial community.
